Normally we try to bring you reviews of high quality products here on and TYLT is a company that we love because no matter what we’re reviewing of theirs, you know it’s going to be of the highest quality. Today we’re taking a look at the Ribbn, TYLT’s answer to charging your electronics in the car. It comes in two flavors, Micro USB for your Windows and Android devices and a version with a lighting connector for your Apple products. If you’re a member of a blended tech family, like I am, have no fear. The Ribbn includes another USB port at the base of the charger so you can plug in another cable and charge a couple of devices at the same time. Since the charger outputs at 4.8 Amps, both devices will charge at a pretty good rate.

TYLT Ribbn

The Ribbn comes in four colors, black, blue, red and the classic TYLT neon green and measures out at 3 feet long. I’d love to see some longer options in terms of cord length so I can let my daughter play with the iPad in the back seat but 3 feet should be good for most situations. It has a flat, non tangle cable that is exactly what all chargers should have. I do appreciate the coiled approach of other chargers but a flat cable is perfect for the car because you don’t want to be struggling with your phone or cable while driving. The lighting connector also doesn’t have a huge head so if you have a case with a limited opening, this should still fit the bill.

TYLT Ribbn

TYLT has really hit another one out of the park in my opinion. The Vu Car Mount I recently took a look at is, in my opinion, the best option out there for Qi Car Charging on the market and I think the Ribbn is one of, if not the best option for a more premium cabled charging option. Between the dual 2.4 Amp outputs, the non-tangle cable and great build of the product, you can’t go wrong picking one of these up.
