The ENERGI is the latest offering from TYLT , this time on Indiegogo and it’s going FAST! It’s a rapid charger that’s got….all the features you’d be looking for in a rapid charger, but I’m getting ahead of myself. I think first, it should be noted there’s only 2 days left of this Indiegogo project, at the time of this writing. There are plenty of affordable options left, if you want to get in on this, but you’re going to have to move pretty quickly. This is no ordinary charger, according to the Indiegogo site. It’s the last charger you’ll need for your family or office. You can rapidly charge your phone, tablet or portable battery pack. Let’s look at some of the features.
The SmartDetect is the technology that allows the ENERGI to rapidly charge your device at it’s peak allowable load. When they say “peak allowable load” they mean it, 2.4 amps as 12 watts. Now, you can compare that to a standard Android or iPhone charger that comes in at 1.0 amps and 5 watts and see just exactly how much power is available in each of the five ports offered by the ENERGI. It won’t over charge either. The SmartDetect technology sense what kind of a device that’s been plugged in and how much power it needs, constantly adjusting the power it’s delivering based on the needs of the device that’s plugged in. On the device you’ll find four standard USB ports and one battery backup port. The battery back up port houses a portable battery you can pop out whenever you need it when you’re on the move. This portable battery delivers 3200mAH of power. That’s enough to re-charge most mobile phones on the market today. As long as the battery is in the ENERGI, you can use it to charge your devices while it’s being charged as well. Further, if you’re away from the ENERGI when the portable battery runs out of juice, you can plug it in to any micro-USB charger and filler-up! You get all this and the ENERGI only consumes one electrical outlet. The housing of the unit doubles as a cord organizer. With space specifically designed to wrap your cord around, you can get plugged in without being stuck with 6 feet of cord plied up on your counter…five times. Who needs 30 feet of cords piled up on their counter anyway?
Want one yet? Good, you should. There’s several options remaining on the Indiegogo campaign. At the time this article was written there are $55 through $75 options remaining. This will net you just the charger or the charger plus charging cords of your choice, depending on the level of support you choose. If you want one you’re going to have to move fast though. As I said at the beginning of this article, there’s only two days left. So what are you waiting for, go get one now and you’ll be all set for charging needs by Christmas, they year.
