The iPhone 6S Plus an awesome phone, but if you want anything more than the base storage, you’re looking almost a thousand dollars in the face for your phone. Now, I don’t know about you, but anything I’m spending that much money on, I’m protecting. But, since your phone is something you use every day, for hours on end, not just anything will do. That’s why I love the Moshi iGlaze Napa. Not only does it protect the iPhone 6S Plus in case you drop it, but it actually adds to the aesthetics of the phone, instead of just covering them up.
First off, lets lay out what we’re talking about here. The iGlaze Napa is Moshi’s “Vegan Leather” case. Basically, what that means is that the backing looks like leather but is made out of synthetic leather. Moshi opts to not use animal products for their leather so you’re getting something animal friendly while still getting something that looks stunning and feels fantastic. The Vegan Leather backing is tied together by a shock absorbing shell and a shatterproof TPU shell.
Overall, I’d say you’re safe in almost all cases with this case on your phone. If your phone isn’t falling out of a window and landing several stories later, you should be set.
There’s a raised lip to cover the screen in case of those small falls that end with the screen down. This is also a really nice feature if you’re one of us who would rather lay your phone screen down so random people can’t see your alerts as they pop up. For full protection, I’d still recommend something like the iVisor Glass or Phantom Glass. These tempered glass screen protectors will run up against the iGlaze Napa giving you seamless protection.
Does the iGlaze Napa add much bulk to the phone? I’d say no. Obviously, there is going to be a bit of a trade-off whenever you put a case on a phone this big but since I’ve given up on this being a one handed phone, I don’t mind it that much. The only thing I really dislike in my time with it is how sharp the cutouts for the ports can be on the bottom of the phone. This is a heavy phone and any time there’s weight added, then you sit all of that weight on your pinky, it can get a little uncomfortable. It’s not so bad that I’d not recommend the case, but it can definitely be cleaned up in a revision if Moshi so chooses.
To wrap it up, is this a perfect case? No. But does a perfect case really exist? It’s all a matter of taste. This case is going to be great if you want that leather feel. It’s a good alternative to Apple’s leather case, which won’t be providing much more than scratch protection. And it’s animal free. I don’t think I really need to pound that point home for those who care about it. This is a hell of a case and I’d definitely recommend it.
