Today’s been quite an interesting day for iOS users everywhere. In addition to the announcement and release of a jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3 to iOS 8.3, Apple has released new betas for iOS 9, Mac OS X El Capitan, and Apple Watch OS.
The released jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3 to iOS 8.3 has been muddled with confusion and nothing but hiccups. From the onset, it seems that Taig released the jailbreak without letting Saurik, the man behind Cydia know, which has led to most tweaks useless due to the Substrate not being updated yet.
Saurik has been at JailbreakCon and since he was not notified of the impending release, he, in addition to all the jailbreak tweak and app developers, have been a bit surprised. In the main jailbreak thread on Reddit, Saurik states the following:
Hopefully, the issues that have risen out of the release of the latest jailbreak, will be solved sooner rather than later, so folks can get to updating and using their devices with the Apple Watch. Or at the very least, experience a jailbreak on the latest public release of iOS.
If you want to try and jailbreak your device running iOS 8.1.3 up to iOS 8.3, hit the link for the Taig website below, and download the tool. Just as a reminder, there are issues with this at the moment, so not everyone’s device will be jailbroken right away.
